Not sure how long these prices are going to be around (many expire on May 3), but Dell is offering deep discounts of up to $500 on a number of its machines. If I were purchasing a new PC today, I'd take a close look at the Dimension 9150, which has 1GB of RAM, dual core Intel CPU, 160GB hard drive, and dual optical drives (including a dual-layer DVD burner). $679 gets you the box and a flat panel monitor, too. That's $200 cheaper than the similar machine I purchased only a month ago, and that one didn't even include a monitor. Happy shopping!

Dell has the shabbiest support people in the world. I bought a Dimension 3000 last fall and have had nothing but trouble: audio is distorted. Research shows the Samsung hard drive kicks back from DMA to PIO intermittently. Result is extremely distorted audio. Dell knew about this and refuses to replace hard drives. Boo! Hiss. Shame on Dell

I own a computer repair shop .. dells have great specs for the money but when the warranty is out ..i am the one making the money on replacing the cheap mother boards that come in them .. most consumers do not ask about the mother board brand or specs .. dell keeps me in bizzness "GO DELL"
