My wife sent me this link for FareCompare, yet another airline price reporting and forecasting site. Like Farecast, this one's awfully cool, and though it's plagued with advertisements, it's got features galore that some of the other sites don't have.
For starters, it handles just about every airport, not just in the U.S. but in the world. Want the best deal on a flight from SFO to Quito? FareCompare has it. (It's $610 if you wait until August.) FareCompare also covers business class and first class flights, though in my tests with the site, these prices don't seem to change very much.
To get started, just type in your city in the bar at the top of the screen, then click Go! You'll be given a series of screens, each with a part of the world on it. Click around on the map until you find the city you want to fly to (or just type in the name). You'll then be presented with a list of historical flight prices, dating back a year, and if there's enough data, you'll see a helpful graph of the minimum, maximum, and average of the lowest price to that airport. To dig even deeper click next to "Advanced historical graphs" and you can see prices for certain airlines or even certain types of advance purchases (14-day vs. 7-day vs. same-day, for example).
