This curious blog post consists of three sentences, touting a product (pictured) which, for $277, lets you read deleted SMS messages from a cell phone's SIM card. Just slide the SIM card into this gizmo, which looks like a USB key, and you can access up to 20 of the most recently deleted SMS messages on the card. (The principle is the same as with deleted files on your PC: They aren't really deleted until some other data overwrites them.)
But click the link and you get... a big picture of the reader. No details, and I'm not sure where this $277 price comes from, either.
Further research reveals that such products do exist, at least in software form. InsideOut Forensics, which operates out of Norway, sells a $95 software application to recover deleted SMS messages as well as a card reader (which costs another $35). That's much cheaper than this mystery product, with the added bonus that, you know, the InsideOut product actually exists.

i am not into all of this high tech stuff. i just want to ask a simple question. can u recover deleted meesages form your phone and view them on your laptop or is there a way to synchronize your laptop with your computer so that you can retrieve the deleted messages or do i have to go by the network.
How far back can you retrieve SM messages?
when someone knows if you can retrieve deleted text from a cdma phone would they let me know it does have a usb hook up the phone
