You know how Internet Explorer crashes all the time? No, I mean like all the time? And then you get an even bigger slap in the face; Windows wants to report the crash back to Microsoft so it can help fix the problem.
Well Windows XP is about six years old now. I've finally figured out that Microsoft is just not going to fix the problem.
For the rest of you running XP and not using Firefox (I don't for reasons far too complicated to get into here), here's how to turn off error reporting in Windows.
It's simple: Go to Control Panel then click System > Advanced > Error Reporting. You'll get a simple dialogue box (pictured). Just click "Disable error reporting." It's probably a good idea to leave the "critical errors" option turned on.
If you want to get fancy you can leave error reporting turned on and select which programs you want to report errors to Microsoft. Just click the "Choose Programs" button and use the dialogue box that comes up to pick from your hard drive those applications you still want to report errors. Frankly, though, this is all pretty useless; I simply wouldn't bother with it. For more information on detailed error reporting settings, check out this site.

I couldn't understand it. I think there's a fault in the first paragraph.
