I get a steady stream of questions from readers asking about prepaid wireless plans. But since many are regionally based and doing head-to-head comparisons is difficult, I haven't been able to offer much guidance so far.
Luckily, someone else is: PrepaidReviews.com is a site dedicated to reviewing and ranking the best prepaid wireless phone plans on the market, covering the 15 largest carriers.
The reviews are quite detailed, telling you whether a plan requires a contract, a credit check, and what services are included or available at additional charges. Long-distance and international calling pricing is covered along with such details as the price of "411" information calls. Prepaid handsets are also included and reviewed.
At the risk of spoiling the surprise, PrepaidReviews names T-Mobile Prepaid as its top carrier, with Cingular and Virgin Mobile close behind.
If you're in the market for a prepaid phone, this is easily the best resource I've seen to date.

Lightyear wireless offers a plan at $59.99/mo Unlimited talk, text, and messaging. The catch is it is only available online but because the price was so good we tried it and we are very satisfied. I was afraid of not getting good signal here in southeast colorado but have had no problems. It is a 3g network whatever that means. Sprint and alltel are the prepaid carriers and if you get a post paid plan you get those and verizon. I guess thats what 3g means. I bought mine and my wifes phone from this site. The site was easy to use. Check it out! Pit Stop Mobile Phone http://www.pitstopmobilephone.com
