Compare that to failure rates of about three percent each for the PlayStation 3 and the Wii, according to the recent survey. Oh, and did I mention that I just sent my second 360 console in for repairs?

I'm on my second console. I picked up my 360 during the first wave a few years ago. The manufacturer warranty was already expired by the time I got the red circle this past December. Thankfully, Microsoft did replace it for free.
Still on my first 360, had it since Halo 3 release. So far no real problems
looks like it's getting better then? it was said a couple months ago that it was 30 percent fail rate, at least they are going in the right direction. i'm still on my first from when cod4 came out, by the way if you dont have that game, get it, it is the best game of last year by far.
I'm still on my first 360 - bought in April 2006. Sure, a newer 360 like the one bri3783 bought with Halo 3 a few months ago should be good, but is mine an anomaly for lasting almost 2 years? Keeping my fingers crossed and hoping that the extended warranty I purchased doesn't expire right before I see the RROD.
The Logitech 1000 universal remote is a beautiful device, but it's a little on the overkill side if ...

We are on our third as well. Although Msoft has always responded quickly and did the right thing with us as customers, the interesting thing is that the last time, they went out of their way to guarantee that the console that was returned to us was the same one we sent them. That indicates that there are several causes of the RROD, supported by the return of a rehabed but buggy unit to you, and that they are chasing multiple failures and want to isolate problem units and remove them from the market.
