Pining to see "Lost" or "Grey's Anatomy" in HD on your desktop? If so, good news: ABC has announced that starting this summer, it will stream a selection of its top shows on its Web site in HD, for free.

According to Engadget HD, ABC.com plans on streaming several of its prime-time shows (including "Lost," "Grey's Anatomy," "Ugly Betty" and "Desperate Housewives") in 720p, which is the same resolution ABC uses for its HD broadcast. The beta test for ABC's HD streaming channel will launch in early July, marking the first time a major U.S. TV network has streamed its shows on the Web in high-def. The HD streams will be free, but you'll have to sit through some ads to watch. Want a semi-sneak preview? Check out ABC.com's full-screen video player—it's standard definition, but still pretty slick.
