Attention, corporate stiffs: Prepare to let your inner rock god loose during the dullest of staff meetings. Meet Guitar Hero III for BlackBerry, now ready to rock.

I got a chance to riff with the BlackBerry version of GH3 here at CTIA, and yes, it's pretty cool. The "1," "2", and "3" keys act as your frets (just three of them, as opposed to five in the console version), and the graphics aren't too shabby for a smartphone.

Unfortunately, I couldn't hear the music over the roar of the show floor, although I was assured I was playing Santana's "Black Magic Woman." You click the three fret buttons to strum the chords, and keep pressing to hold a note. Miss a chord and you'll get a little buzz of disapproval. Sadly, I failed all three of my songs—in my defense, I was trying to ask probing questions and play at the same time.

Guitar Hero III should work on any BlackBerry phone; just visit bplay.com/guitarhero to download the demo. The full version of the game goes for $14.95, and it comes with 15 songs (including "Cherub Rock," "Suck My Kiss," "Trippin' on a Hole," and "Monsters,"), with three more set to arrive each month.

Rock Hero? There's Guitar Hero and Rock Band. This is Guitar Hero III Mobile (and it's not just Blackberrys). Rock Band is on the PS2, PS3, Xbox 360 and soon to be on the Wii. It features guitar, bass, drums and vocals. Guitar Hero III for PS2, PS3, Wii, PC/Mac and Xbox 360 features only guitar with bass for co-op mode. There is no "Rock Hero".
