First announced way, way back in July of last year, the nifty, wireless balance board accessory for the Wii finally has a North American release date: May 19. Get ready to engage those abs.

Looks okay. I think it would be a lot more fun with a web cam so you can actually see yourself on the screen instead of them Miis, kinda like the PS2 Kinetics. If you could combine the two it would be awesome!! If I decide to get it, it will be in the fall...
For all of you who have been tell those people to just get out and exercise and making rude comments about people whoa re obese, have you ever been over weight? And I'm not talking you are a size 4 wanting to go to a 2. Most people who have a lot to lose find it very difficult to get motivated, mainly because people like you criticize them. People might get out and walk but usually don't last more than a few weeks. They become discouraged and give up. Plus the health problems that have been caused by obesity often limit what a person can do physically during the first part of the weight loss. Go ahead and say you aren't going to spend your money, but stop criticizing people who are. It's not your money and you have never met the people who think this product might help them. Say you don't think it will help, but stop being rude to those that do. What do you care if someone wants to buy it and try it? It's not hurting you or your pocket book.
Can't wait! I hope I can find it!
wwwwwwwwwwiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
I'm asking for it for Mother's Day!
How about NIntendo finding a way to get Wii systems on the shelf before coming up with a push-up and yoga game!
I'm asking for this for Mother's Day!
OMG!! I am so so excited, I was a size 16 2 years ago and I have tried everything, and I love the Wii, I am ready to do this without being in public (which I hate). And the price is right on, I will pay it, this is something that I can do with my daughter, I am so looking forward to this game to get me going so that I can be healthy again.
i wonder if it will make me lose some weight...
sonia is ugggggly
Miiiiiiiiiii too!! (On the Mother's Day thing!!)
i completly disagree with erinshesse. you can build alot of muscle with basic excercizes. if you dont think this will build up a sweat, try doing a plank stance for a min. or two, better yet, try some yoga. i bet you will more than you sweat at the gym. i love this idea(yay making excercizing fun) and im buying it as soon as it comes out!!
I can't believe the negative comments regarding the possible fitness attributes of the Wii Fit. I mean even just brushing your teeth in the evening burns like 5 or 6 calories and simply washing the dishes (that means washing, drying and putting back in the cupboard, not tossing them in the dishwasher)for 15 minutes can burn 50 calories. so I see anything that is FUN to do, can involve the whole family and involves muscle movement, balance co-ordination and some isolated strength exercises along wiht a "daily" way to monitor your acheivement or lack there-of is a fantastic item. Put it all together and its under $90.00 I see it as a sure winner. Is it equal to a trip to the gym? No. But then I hate going to the gym and having everyone see me not being as fit as I once was many years and several accidents ago. Get fit and have fun......... Wheeeeeeeeee or is that Wii!
I've already marked it on my calendar. I think the idea of getting fit via a video game is great. I've been borrowing my teen's Play Station dance revolution game for the last couple of years and have lost over 100 pounds. This has been my sole source of exercise but has gotten boring over time. I can't wait to try Wii Fit. I already borrow my son's Wii as it is. Maybe Christmas will bring me my own - I can only hope!
I think it sounds like fun. A smart alternative to your basic boring zone-out-on-the-couch video game routine.
I am really looking foward to this product. I'm a stay at home mom with a 2 yr. old...and Most gyms do not have daycare until 3 or older. Plus a year's membership is over $400! I own a treadmill...but get so bored after 20 minutes...something interactive would be great! I think it's amazing if it can correct you and help you! For what it offers I think the price is unbeatable! Plus at night, if your only semi motivated...it's much easrier to do this in your home...than dress for the gym...drive there...shower and drive home. I'm definitely getting this product! And to the people who have nothing better to do than insult get a life. Weight is a huge problem for more people than not...and if this can help even a few people it's worth it
the Wii fit is not expensive compared to the 360, and PS3
It sounds interesting. I'm excited about trying it out. I already have mine on lay away! LOL
I don't really think this is a good way to "stay in shape" because what would be more calorie-losing, running or moving around on a plastic board? Yes, you might break a sweat, but do you really get fit or lose weight?

I've pre-ordered it to add to my "it's too rainy to take the double stroller on a walk" exercise arsenal. It's not my only form of exercise, even for rainy days. I think it will be a fun addition.
