Happen to get an e-mail from Microsoft yesterday entitled "MSN Music Store Support Notification"? It reads (in delightfully obfuscating passive voice) that Redmond is about to "change the level of support to be offered" for any DRM-protected MSN Music tunes you bought prior to November 2006. Translation: Your music will be stuck—forever—on whichever devices they happen to be sitting, come August 31.

I never buy DRM music. Before mp3's i bought cd's and ripped my own mp3's. Heck i still do it. Only DRM Free for me. Itunes and Zune marketplace are evil.
I only bought and immediately ripped Cd's prior to Amazon DRM-FREE opening up last fall. Now I buy all my music there. DRM is for suckers and so is iTunes. How dumb do you have to be to buy something that the seller still controls?

Microsoft JERKS its customers AGAIN??? Why am i not surprised. Maybe because i got Window Me2, a.k.a. Vista Now all they gotta do is buy up Yahoo! to become a total annoyance in my life
