New spy shots emerge, this time of a Verizon Wireless-branded box for BlackBerry's rumored touch-screen phone. Is the Storm about to burst?

Engadget Mobile got its hands on a pretty official-looking picture for the BlackBerry Storm—also known as the Thunder—complete with specs and prominent Verizon Wireless logos.

Neither RIM nor Verizon are commenting on the Thunder—err, the Storm—but looking at the list of specs on the box, it appears RIM's purported iPhone will be a dual-mode, CDMA/GSM world phone, with a SIM card pre-installed. Also (apparently) included: an 8GB microSD card, a USB cable, and a 3.5mm stereo headset.

And what's up with the name change? According to Engadget Mobile, the Thunder will still clap for Canadian carrier Rogers and Vodafone in Europe, while here in the U.S. we'll have to settle for the Storm moniker.

Anyway, from the looks of the box shot—plus the fact that the fall version of the CTIA wireless show is just a couple weeks away—I'm guessing that the Storm's arrival is imminent. Stay tuned.

I think Storm is the CDMA version and the Thunder is the GSM version
