Attention, Blu-ray fans: Looks like we're finally getting some Net-enabled BD-Live features that might be worth the cash, including synchronized group screenings and "user-generated" picture-in-picture commentaries.

$35? This is why no one is buying blu-ray. They are killing their own industry by charging a crazy amount for a movie, 98% of people will not sue those extra features. I'll just download it when it's available.
Sigh....I totally agree that many retailers overcharge for Blu Ray movies and that's the main killer for buyers. Heck, I own a Blu Ray player and the price of the movies is the main reason why I only buy the movies I really, really like. I just don't know that downloading an illegal copy of the movie is the right answer (if that's what you meant by downloading the movie). But Ben is right....I've never seen a typical retailer have a good price on the movies. Places like Amazon are almost always cheaper, and usually by a pretty good margin. Often, the prices of the Blu Ray disks will be within a few dollars of the "special editions" of the DVDs on their release week.
Disney already has synchronized group screenings and user-generated picture-in-picture commentaries as a standard feature set of their BD-Live network! You can already do this with Sleeping Beauty, WALL-E, etc. on Blu-ray. Clearly you are a little behind the curve with respect to BD-Live!
best movie ever
