Rather not deal with an external—or wall-mountable, for that matter—Blu-ray player? Sharp's got a unique solution on display here at CES.

what were they thinking who in the world would want a BR in behind the tv where it would be so aggravating and it will require a special mount. already to expensive
That's really cool, but what I'm waiting for is Sony to release a PS3/Bravia all in one. And if they really wanted to be awesome, they would throw in a Sony audio reciever and some sort of cable box. Granted it would be like six inches thick, but still. Oh and yes I know that this will NEVER happen, just saying it would be awesome if it could.

Kind of pricey for what is basically just a BD/HD combo set... I'll stick with the small-ish Samsung BD player and run HDMI with active system auto-detect. A TV that can reproduce 1080P24 accurately is all you really need if you have a BD player that supports 24 FPS output.
