Want the right wristwatch to go with that new $88,000 Vertu phone on your belt? Check out this platinum watch from Swiss timepiece-maker Ulysse Nardin, a one of a kind (or rather, 99 of a kind) gem that gives you a UFO's-eye view of the Earth—all for the bargain price of $100,000.

No, it's not encrusted with jewels and it doesn't do Bluetooth, but the Tellurium J. Kepler Limited Edition watch (only 99 were made) has something you won't find on your everyday Timex: a rotating representation of the globe as it might be seen from above the North Pole, complete with a flexible spring representing the terminator between day and night, plus a perpetual calendar that makes a complete rotation once a year. Oh, and it's water resistant to 30 meters, although I'm not sure how the leather wrist strap will handle salt water.

All my life, I've always wanted a 100K watch that has a view of the Earth feature, and now someone has invented it! Can I please just get 1, I said please? I'll e-mail my personal banker & have her send the funds electronically within 24 hours! Thank You Jesus!!! I can't wait to buy it! Okay, let's get real! What a waste of money & time, if you will! In the US alone, at least 1 million people are expected to loose their homes due to foreclosure, yet this watch is newsworthy! Let's figure out a way to keep these families from being a statistic and give them a sense of hope.

What the ----- is this ----- . All you need is the time not to see the ----- ed up WORLD from a different view. If you want to spend good money like that, then send some food and clothes to the kids in the other countries that you see on this ugly watch. You can get a good watch for seven dollars at your local WAL-MART, because all you need is the time right?

My God, for 100K you'd think the watch designers could have build a little style or taste into the design. Instead we have a tacky monstrosity of a watch. It like the the Boy Scouts of America got together with popular science and figured out how they could build an 11 year old geeky kids dream. Thank heaven they only built 99.

I think if I paid that much I should see people walking & aiplanes flying on that watch. Maybe I should be able to see myself looking at myself on the watch.

Why does everyone have to hate on "rich" people. If I was rich, I'd buy this right now; it's sic. He's got the whole world on his wrist...

Let's be honest, (to the haters) if you had the money you wouldn't give it to anyone (starving, dying of cancer or anything else) The fact is that most poor people who don't know how to be blessed want those who are rich to give their money to them or people like them. THAT'S STUPID! Volunteer if you are inclined. Don't hate on someone who can afford fine things in life. As for the watch...it is a Swiss watch!!! enough said.

How about feeding a small country rather then buying a watch that is just probably going to sit in a rich person's safe????

The beginning: The Poor: Give us that money instead of buying those darn watches! By the way, we will never get enough! The Rich: Enough giving, now we have got to treat ourselves something nice, like this watch so it will give s a sense of successful living that way can enjoy working harder, smarter and giving more money to the needy. The Scientists: Well, at least we have the hearts to invent watches instead of more nuclear craps. The watches: We don't know. They just made only a 100 of us. What does that mean? Well, it means either we are not worthy or we won't last. The end.

few things: as pointed before, this is a collector item... and more than its usefullness or marksmanship, which is mainly to account for the price, the whole point IS in owning a 100k watch. when u have too much money... u tend to not know how to spend it (ex: check out arabian oil princes fantasies...) as for its prize increase... well, with evrything, that's for seeing... rich people like to invest in this kind of things... "art", colector items... etc... but if one day they really NEED to sell it, they won't get much. and as to the guy who said: "Don't hate someone just because they are rich, They may have worked hard for it" NOBODY becomes rich by working hard. Limited resources on earth mean that for somebody to be rich, many need to be poor. u might become rich "legally" but usually by exploiting someone or something, or helping another who does that. I do not deny that they migth have worked hard to get there, however hord work was not the key.
