Is Japanese wireless carrier SoftBank making way for a new version of the iPhone, or are sales just sluggish? Who can say, but from Friday through the end of May, you can sign up for an 8GB iPhone 3G in Japan for a grand total of zero.

How can I get a free Iphone if they givining it free
iphone sucks
That is awesome! Too bad I only have 6 months left here in Japan. Why couldn't they have done this 2 years ago?
haha yeahh right
Great piece on the 3G, but why do people use these kinds of things to promote cookie- and virus-infected websites? It's so lame....
I wish Verizon could have the iPhone.. I am sticking with my blackberry till then. AT&T and Apple can shove it.
Serves us right, but keep on rocking in the free world! Now that we are technically and financially behind the universe we are going to continue find ourselfs on the outside looking in. How does it feel?

The author of this article is a terrible writer!
what tha heck ! Useless post.
what about indonesia... its a good place to promote your gadgets.....
I like that!
well what is the major catch?!
it's awesome!!! but I think only the one who can get that free iphone are their client.... special the one who was a credit card holder... and other ordinary customer...
like all contracts read the fine print, there is no doubt to me somewhere to be "an increased fee" with "standard of living" or whatever they choose the wording to be. There is an old saying and everyone should learn to live by it...."nothing is for free there is always a catch" , yes even the air, just think about it ;)
a new iPhone...again? i haven't even saved up enough for an iPhone 3G.
