Streaming video site Hulu is a hit with viewers thanks to its free, ad-supported TV shows and movies, but a key executive at News Corp.—one of Hulu's primary backers, not to mention owner of the Fox TV network—thinks that charging visitors for at least some of Hulu's shows is, "over time," a "logical thing."

It seems impossible to start charging for what was once free, Especially with alternate, albeit illegal alternatives like torrents..
I would not pay to use hulu. If they want to make more money why don't they just double the number of ads they show during the show, so you have one minute of commercials instead of 30 seconds. Just a thought.
If Hulu starts charging for their services, that will be the end of Hulu. Another free option will come along and everyone will move over to that.
Start charging? = byebye to people like me, I wont watch stuff on there every week and look at ads during the breaks. God, why does everyone want to charge for everything!!!!!???
The reason I go to Hulu is because it is a service that offers the most popular shows for free in high quality (not to mention its legal so the stuff doesn't get pulled of for copy right issues like on youtube). It's like a dream come true! But charging would ruin the point! If they keep it free and it becomes more popular the ads would cost more and they would make plenty of money! Maybe they could keep the site the way it is but then you can also get a paid account where there are no ads in the video's.
Nope, would stop going to the site.
how about joining a special 'Hulu viewers club' for an fee for a favorites list of programing with ads that have discounts... that would be interesting.
nope id drop it like a bad scam
nope would drop it like a bad scam
This guy Miller doesn't get it. Hulu is doing just fine as is, thank you.
I'd stop watching Hulu. You can already get episodes on iTunes, PS3, and other places for the $1.99 fee. Those can be downloaded and stored - Hulu is a streaming site.
I would buy a show if I wanted to watch it and the price wasn't outrageous, but you know I would check out other sites before paying. Shows are available on other sights for free.
And the day they started to do that, would be the day I stop using Hulu . . .
Probably their MO from the beginning
Not a chance. I love Hulu cause its free - definitely would not visit it if I had to pay.
I don't think I would pay "per episode" but I may pay if they charged a very low "rental fee" to have complete access to a show's complete season for a limited time.
if Miller crunches the numbers and can still make $$ and win kodos from the share holders, game over.
hulu should remain free, is that not the point of all the ads???
I've not visited Hulu, and don't intend to. Their commercials weird me out.
