It's being described as "Hulu for movies," but EpixHD.com—now in private beta—offers its free, HD-quality videos without annoying commercial interruptions. That said, the only way to get access to Epix HD will be through your cable carrier.

I'm also looking to drop cable TV and keep broadband alone. I already use my iMac as my main media server, and only watch about 5 shows on "real" TV as it is. If I could watch those shows in real-time on my computer I would have dumped TV already.
I already cut the cable for HULU. I would like real-time on my computer. I will sign up for Epix HD. It sounds like netflix.
The big question the deaf community is asking... "Will it display captions?" right now only Hulu does that....
