Palm just unleashed its long-rumored Treo 500v for Vodafone subscribers in Europe, and yes—it boasts the new, flatter style that we've been seeing in many a fuzzy photo. Peek inside, however, and there's not much new going on.

I'm a Treo 650 owner just waiting for something better to come out. I'm still not impressed with the web capabilities. Furthermore, I have a hard time placing MP3 music on real player.
I have had enough of Treo. My Curve does more, and by going with the Windows operating system, Palm gives up the advantage of software control. They will never make it as a hardware supplier.

i've been a long time 700w user. any improvement will be welcome, especially if i can still run all of my purchased software. i'll probably buy the 500x when (if) it is available in the u.s.
