Starting this year and rolling into 2010, expect to see a slew of new smartphones, ranging from Google's Android platform to Windows Mobile, capable of displaying Flash-powered content and video in their Web browsers. And what about the iPhone, you ask? Good question.

Will this flash update be automatic or will we have to download something on to our phones to get this to work?
Here are 2 facts: 1. Apple charges money to download episodes of shows and movies. 2. Most sites that people upload those same shows to use flash. Whether or not these 2 have anything in common, who knows...
Apple suffers from "Sony Syndrome" (beta, minidisc, memorystick, etc.). True they have made something wonderful, but if they do not open up to the masses instead of dictating that it's my way or the highway, the will leave themselves wide open for the competition to grow and advance and make apple choke on their own inflexibility.
I agree with the Sony syndrome. I was a sony fan for a while until i got sick of their dictatorship. The last time I bought a sony product was probably back in 2002 and it's now 2009 ....lol. I am getting sick of Apple's dictatorship too. It took many years to even implement simple Cut/paste, landscape sms, and years of waiting for Flash support. If we compliment this with ATT's lack of service, it's intolerable. Going to switch to Android or Windows mobile phone in 2010.

It's the truly only thing I hate about mt Iphone. You can't look at most sites because it doesn't have flash on it. Other than that I love AT&T out here in Louisiana. 3G is fast and a dropped call might happen every now and then. I don't know why people complain about there service. I have never had any problem's at all travling along the coast. Infact, I work on a Oil Production Platform 20 miles offshore and I get coverage. The only thing is I get the Edge network for the net but so what.
