One of my favorite universal remotes, a hot new Android phone, the new BlackBerry Bold, and (supposedly) the latest iMacs are among the hottest deals to be had in the coming week.

First up: Amazon, which has kicked Black Friday off early with a series of "lightning deals" this week. The daily and hourly deals have seen some pretty deep discounts, but if you blink, you might miss them.

Some of the deals I spotted today (Tuesday the 24th) on Amazon include:

  • Logitech Harmony One universal remote: It's the one I use at home, complete with a customizable touch display and the ability to program your various functions on a PC or Mac. $149, or $100 off the $249 list price;
  • Canon Pixma MP490 inkjet photo printer: $49, or half-off the $99 retail;
  • Garmin Nuvi 260W 4.2-inch widescreen GPS Navigator: $119, or $110 off the $229 list price.
  • "The Terminator" on Blu-ray: He'll be back in your living room, for just $7.49.

Next: Apple, which has announced a Black Friday sale at its online store this Friday. Apple hasn't detailed what the exact sale items will be quite yet, but the Boy Genius Report got its hands on what looks to be a leaked flyer, complete with:

  • New iMacs starting at $1,098 ($101 off);
  • iPod nanos starting at $138 ($11 off);
  • MacBook Pros starting at $1,098 ($51-$101 off);
  • iPod Touch starting at $178 ($21 off);
  • and Apple TV for $208 ($21 off)

So no, not exactly a fire sale, but hey ... this is Apple we're talking about. And again, keep in mind that these leaked prices aren't official.

Finally, T-Mobile has announced a Black Friday sale of its own, including:

  • Motorola Cliq: Not the fastest of the new Android phones, but it's got Motorola's cool MotoBlur service, good for pushing live updates from Facebook, Twitter, and MySpace to your home screen. Also supported (as of Tuesday): Google's free Navigation app for turn-by-turn directions. Now $149, or $50 off the two-year contract price.
  • BlackBerry Bold 9700: Now slimmer and trimmer than the original bold, and it comes with Wi-Fi calling to boot. $149, or $50 off the two-year contract price.
  • Samsung Highlight: Entry-level touchscreen phone is now $49, or half-off the standard $99 two-year contract price.

Seen any other hot Black Friday deals? Let us know.

    Too bad you still have to buy a universal remote as a separate item. Just think.....If an infrared diode was added to the iPhone, there would be all kinds of universal remote apps written for it.

    Just so readers know, Google Maps with Navigation now supports Android 1.6 (donut). The Cliq only has Android 1.5 (cupcake). Therefore Google Maps with navigation will NOT work on the Cliq, contrary to your report. Motorola has no announced plans to update the Cliq to Android 1.6, much less 2.0. They probably will eventually, but no specified date yet.
