Halloween Treat on Halo 3: Zombies!

Starting today and running until the wee hours of the morning, Halo 3 players will get to turn their buddies into shambling, flesh-eating zombies in a just-for-Halloween playlist.

The all-"Infection," all-the-time Halo 3 playlist will be live until 3 a.m. PST, complete with tweaked multiplayer maps customized by the Bungie team. If you've never played Infection mode in Halo 3, here's how it works: one player starts as a "zombie," while everyone else is on the human team; once a zombie kills a human, that human is "infected" and joins the zombie team. It's tough going for the lone zombie at first, but as anyone who's ever shivered through "Night of the Living Dead" knows, it's only a matter of time before the humans find themselves outnumbered and holed up in a deserted mall somewhere, while a teeming (and, unfortunately, patient) hoard of the undead awaits in the parking lot.

I'll be jumping onto Xbox Live later today to bite some chumps—ping me, if you dare, and get ready for your last stand.

Sounds good. Sounds like a mod made for Counter-strike:Source where one human starts as a zombie and goes to infect others. Now if only I had a 360..
