Personally, I enjoy the trailers that play before a theatrical release. Assuming they are interesting, its a good way to see what the newest movies are. And without them, we wouldn't have those great trailers that everyone talks about (Cloverfield).
Who ever places an add on a product that I have paid for will be less likely to receive my business.
They already place a ton of commercials on many of my sons childrens DVD's and this is why as soon as I buy it I rip a copy with NOTHING on it but the video that I bought. Then I put the original in a box. ____________I am breaking NO laws. It is my video, I am not sharing it with anyone and we will watch it exactly how we want to watch it. Nothing more, nothing less.

Balls. I could see skippable ads for new movies (The same ads that play in theatres would be a nice feature) before the movie but never ones that you couldn't skip through. If this ever makes it into HD/Blu-Ray discs, I can easily say that I would not allow the player a net connection. Why would I let it have one anyway? USB firmware updates- that's better than a direct connection to internet for the tech savvy guys, right? Oh well, we'll probably never see this in action anyway, so I doubt we should start getting worried.
