Don't have the touch when it comes to your iPhone? Behold the Pogo Stylus, an aluminum, felt-tipped stick that's ready to pinch-hit for your finger.
Of course, the Pogo (discovered by the bloggers at CrunchGear) begs the question of why you'd even want a stylus for the iPhone—after all, isn't the whole point of the touch-screen wonder that you can just tap with your finger? Well, yeah...although I'm sure there are folks out there who aren't as steady with their fingertips as the rest of us. Or maybe you just can't stand seeing fingerprints on your precious handset. Thoughts, anyone?
Anyway, the makers of the Pogo Stylus ($25, available now) say that it'll work just fine on the iPhone's (or the iPod Touch's) touch screen, which typically only responds to a human fingertip. Sounds good, except I doubt it'll work with the phone's multitouch technology, which lets you spread two fingertips to zoom in or out of web pages, pictures, and the like. Also included in the package: a snap-on clip that'll keep the stylus attached to your iPhone.
So...what's your take on the Pogo Stylus? Brilliant, or (pun alert) pointless?

So, I have used the iPhone several times...I've always found the on screen typing, flat out, stinks, for people like me, who have average size fingers and want to send txt and emails. I need a keyboard and I need high speed connections that work everywhere. I will stay with my Sprint Mogul, thankyou.

hum....i'm about to buy an IPhone in the next few weeks and i heard that texting is kind of a PITA because the keys are so close together. so perhaps this is a good product if you're having issues with texting. don't know if i'll buy one though. think i'll take that $25 and invest in a case for the phone.
