T-Mobile suffered a bit of a black eye last last month when it pulled the buggy Sidekick Slide from store shelves. Now comes word that the Slide—all fixed, apparently—has sidled back into T-Mobile's lineup.
The Boy Genius Report spotted the Slide on T-Mobile's Web site this morning, still listed for $199 with a two-year service agreement. The carrier announced late last month that Motorola, the manufacturer of the Slide, had developed a fix for the Slide's woes (customers reported that the phone powered off without warning when sliding the screen open and closed). Apparently, glitchy battery contacts were to blame. T-Mobile initially offered Slide customers store credit or—even better—the chance to trade in the phone for the pricier Sidekick LX; no word on whether the offer still stands.
Anyone out there ready to give the Slide another chance?
