A Portable Microwave

You can never tell when you're going to get the urge to microwave something. Defrost your dinner while driving home? A campsite TV dinner? The college football tailgate party? A sudden craving for popcorn?

For those of you who miss your microwave too much to leave it behind there's the WaveBox. It's a microwave oven, lunchbox, and cooler built into one lightweight portable unit.

When it comes to power, the WaveBox is pretty versatile. It can use a wall outlet, car or boat battery, or a car cigarette lighter. It runs on either AC or DC. The DC connection to a car battery comes with its own set of alligator clips.

The cooler (called the CoolWave) is one of those soft nylon coolers. It conforms to the shape of the microwave cavity. The idea is to pack your lunch in the cooler and then slip the whole bag into the microwave when hunger strikes.

Portable? Depends who's carrying it—it weighs 14 pounds, but the company claims it's the world's smallest microwave.

Privacy is way overated . I'd trade a little privacy to keep out of traffic, but you raise a good point.

Almost every cell phone can be tracked through the built in gps or cell tower triangulation.

I just read the last three comments and I am shocked. Do these people actually think anyone would care to track them?. Are they some important people?. I say, Don't worry about just have fun. No one cares about where you are and where your going, if I am wrong. Then you have issues. I just want to get from A to B

I think the best possibility for something like this would be if individual owners could tag certain points where they see a speed trap or police hiding. Instead of looking for hard brake lights or a courtesy flash from oncoming motorists it would be nice to have the heads up from drivers ahead on the GPS
