I've been working with the folks who put together the DigitalLife Show at the Javits Center in New York City since the show first launched four years ago. It just gets better and better (once you commute to the Javits Center, that is). Fun for all ages, it's the only trade show that's open to the public, designed to whet their appetites for the holiday season.
Great news for Yahoo! Tech readers. For you, it's a bargain—half price. To get your discounted tickets simply click on the Get Tickets Today button on the site and type in the secret code: YTECH.
Here's the pre-show lineup. You can win $100,000 at a gaming tournament. You can have your own personal devices examined for hacker vulnerability at the Trend Micro booth. Or hang with the DJ from Public Enemy. Outside the show doors, a John Lennon tour bus experience provides a sense of both the man and the magic behind digital recording. New products being unveiled include a very un-Gateway like Gateway PC and the Wow Wee's robotic flying bee (just in time for the launch of the Seinfeld movie, Bee Movie). Palm is having a press lunch, presumably to unveil their new Centro. Kids can play Guitar Hero III and Dance Dance Revolution.
And since New York gets a bit defensive about not being Silicon Valley, the Mayor has proclaimed it New York Technology Week and declared DigitalLife as the official event.
DigitalLife takes place September 27th to 30th at the Jacob Javits Center. I'll be participating on a panel called "Hot for the Holidays" at 4 p.m. on the 27th, so stop by and show your Yahoo! Tech colors if you get a chance.
