My favorite ridiculous clothing genre—the electroluminescent garment—has gone consumer. The FlashWear T-Equalizer not only has the best excellent-dumb name ever, it's also a regular T-shirt with a graphic equalizer that lights up on the front. Like the graphic equalizers on, say, Windows Media Player or on your car head unit, this shirt's chest-pattern has audio sensors that let it actually react with rising and falling towers of light to the sounds outside. So if you're surrounded by the boon-tis of a dance beat or just some rockin' tunes, the shirt will light up in mesmerizing cheap ‘70s-stereo style!
Seriously, though, this tee will get you noticed. I practically stalked the guy who runs FlashWear LTD, the company behind the T-Equalizer, at a couple of trade shows last year simply because the clothing he was wearing—a jacket with a an electroluminescent back—was so arresting. And last month at CES, one of his colleagues was wearing a skirt with a 1-D, Rubik's-Cube-like colored light design on the front. I was literally chasing her skirt, it was so alluring. I'm sure she was getting that a lot.
Until now, the company has only made electroluminescent clothes as promotional items for paying clients. But today you can get the T-Equalizer for around $35 on the U.S. version of Firebox.com or at Software Hut, which says the T-shirt was on the Ellen Degeneres Show (how could I have missed it?).
Would you wear the T-Equalizer?

i have got a t-qualizer and it was good in my bedroom where the music was quiet but i took it too a rather large rave in manchester and it never went off the top setting all night. didnt look anywhere near as good and im disapointed that they have not thought of putting a volume control on it.very cool shirt though
