The Second Generation Apple iPod Nano

The iPod nano is the ultimate synthesis of good design and ease of use. This device is just the right size: it weighs in at 1.5 ounces, it's 3.5 inches tall, and it's under a quarter of an inch thick. The controls are intuitive and simple to figure out, and it's a flash based device, so it doesn't skip or damage if you move around with it.

The nano comes in 3 capacities: 2 gigabytes (holds 500 songs), 4 gigabytes (1000 songs), and 8 gigabytes (2000 songs). It sports 5 colors: silver, pink, black, green, and blue. The only complaint I have about the nano is the restrictive music controls Apple places on its devices. Otherwise the nano is an object of beauty that works like a dream.

I'm the first. Dont undrstand people who listen to music all day. Listen in a car, listen at home, but while you are walking on the street or sitting in Starbucks why have music on? Listen to naure sounds - LET YOUR EARS REST! Chat with other people. To much music and headphones, and u will need another cool gadget - hearing aid. Maby apple should make one? lol. Imagin I-Aid

Just to clarify: Apple places no restrictive music controls on their iPods; the DRM is on music sold through the iTunes Music Store, and is there at the insistence of the record labels. You can use your iPod to play entirely DRM-free music if you like, and there are no restrictions at all. About the only thing you can't play on an iPod are Windows(tm) media files, which have much worse DRM than the ITMS music.

WTF? does apple own yahoo or what? ipod, ipod, ipod! there's plenty of good mp3 players on the market that aren't made by apple, and a heck of a lot cheaper too. why are they so seldom mentioned.
