EV-DO cards allow you to connect to the Internet at broadband speeds from almost anywhere. The card slips into the PCMCIA slot on your laptop and then finds an available cellular data network to connect to the Internet. Speeds are in the 300Kbps range. Around urban areas, Verizon's coverage is very good.
There are different slot sizes on varying computers and a whole other set of concerns for Mac users, so be sure to research what cards are compatible with your laptop. Also Verizon is not the only provider of this broadband cellular access, check this article for more information on the various carriers and cards available.

It sports 7.2 megapixel resolution, 3X optical zoom, and a 2.5 inch LCD. It comes in multiple colors including silver, black, and pink. It records photos onto Sony's Memory Stick proprietary media format. It also boasts Sony's new Face Detecting Technology. You may have seen the ads that proclaim "your father is not a horse's behind," basically asserting that the camera can recognize a face and make sure its in focus as opposed to other things in the shot. Overall, this is a good, budget camera. Plus it gave me an excuse to break out the riding crop, hunting jacket, and jodhpurs.
I want to know if the Verizon wireless EVDO PCMCIA card would work fine in a remote Area in My country sierra Leone?
What's with Verizon's use of CamelCase? BroadbandAccess? NationalAccess? Did they skip elementary school? Besides, nobody in their right mind would pay $100 for a card and then $80/month for Internet access, unless they're THAT desperate for MySpace.
Mine WORks GRREAT I can STREAM HD I have a FULL SINGLE .. And I cant be happer.. .. the first time something other then dial or sattlight reached my house.
I would have appreciated the addition of "Anywhere IN THE US" in the title - EV-DO is close to useless in most countries outside the USA, thanks to Verizon for not using the more international GSM or UMTS/3G signal standards...I'll stick with the atrocious AT&T 3G cards for the time being...
I have used the VerizonWireless USB adapter with the qualcom 3G CDMA connectivity flawlessly, download/stream video, play flash games like Dark Orbit. But billing on this will break your bank, only 5GB a month for the $50 dlls/mo.? If the wireless companies want to compete, they need to look at companies like Clear,, $50/mo. unlimited access. All in all, Verizon does have best service for urban/rural US coverage.

I love my Verizon card. I've used it for about 2-1/2 years and it's fantastic. During a cross country trip, it worked flawlessly with my wife looking up hotels online while we were doing 70 miles an hour. Also, in the middle of Wyoming, when my Verizon cell had no prayer of connecting, "The Card" connected flawlessly! I've had reason to deal with tech services and they were great. When a connection problem was keeping me offline, they overnighted a new card at no cost rather than to mess around with suspect card. My nephew had a Sprint card which was nothing but problems. He switched to the Verizon card and..problem solved! I can't recommend the Verizon card highly enough!
