Geeks love the idea of throwing the TV away and just using the computer for all their entertainment needs. It's not quite a reality (especially with 50-inch plasma screens in the living room), but gadgets like the Slingbox make the idea much more compelling. Â
The Slingbox lets you take a video source from one location, hook it up to the Internet, and download it someplace else. Whether it's regional sports, local programming, or access to what's on the TiVo at home, this idea appeals to people who are away from the content they want to watch. Â
Our Yahoo! Advisors have written extensively on the Slingbox and its competitors, so check out these posts for more Slingbox love.
