Engadget reports that Sony Computer Entertainment of Japan announced the first official Bluetooth headset for the Playstation 3 console. The SOCOM-themed headset (model number: CEJH-15002) features Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, noise-cancellation technology, 8-hour run time, and a slick charging cradle for when the device is not in use.
The coolest part (and the thing that sets this headset from others) is that it will feature unique integration with your Playstation. You'll be able to monitor battery life, signal status, and and speaker levels on your screen at the touch of a button, and the device will automatically pair with your PS3 without any manual pairing.
Expect to see this hit store shelves on October 30th in Japan for around $50, with North American markets to follow soon after.

WHERE DO I FIND ALL EQUPIMENT TO HOOK TO TV FROM PC
This looks sweet! I haven't found a PS2 game that hasn't worked on the PS3 unlike the Xbox 360 and Xbox Backward compatability. Thats just terrible.
Sorry, this thing sucks! Had mine for 2 weeks and the chip in the headset went out, and Sony won't replace it. They said I had to do it where I bought it from and that store won't take it back as thier policy is shrink wrap off the package, no returns...So, I got a POS headset and a game that really sucks!

N I C E. Was waiting for this. Too bad it won't work with the PS2, but then again, PS2 games work fine with a PS3. (at least 90% of it's vast game library, anyway)
