New Xbox 360 bundles revealed for the holidays

Thinking about purchasing an Xbox 360 a loved one... or yourself? Microsoft has just unveiled new pack-in titles for all three Xbox 360 systems, geared toward the family audience.

Kotaku is reporting that the Xbox 360 Elite and the Xbox 360 Pro kits will both come with Lego Indiana Jones and Kung Fu Panda, while the Xbox 360 Arcade system will come with Sega Superstars tennis. 

Microsoft's family-friendly choices for pack-ins clearly mean one thing: The Xbox 360 is looking to go toe-to-toe with the Nintendo Wii this holiday season. But which Xbox 360 should you pick up?

The obvious no-brainer is to not pick the Arcade bundle. Although it does have an attractive $199 price, the Arcade does not have a hard drive, which will significantly limit the potential of the system, in my opinion. 

As for the Elite, I'd have to say avoid this bundle. For an $399 ($100 dollars over the Pro pack), you're getting an extra 60GB of space, an HDMI cable, and a black paint job—a premium price for not that much extra, in my opinion.

Stick with the Pro system. At $299, it's got a relatively good price, two bundled games, a 60GB hard drive, and a wireless controller—everything you need to have an enjoyable experience right out of the box. My definite choice for gaming success.

    I already bought a 360 last holiday season. Unfortunately, back then, the 100$ more seemed more reasonable, as 20gb to 120gb, was a huge increase, but its def worth it to have the arcade, then buy a 150$ 120gb hard drive to save 50$. More space, will be fortunate to those that hate the dvd drive sound, and likes to install their games on their hard drive

    Im sold on getting a PS3, not only is Sony Playstation network free, i can set it up to link to my psp and retrieve data from the ps3 hard drive anywhere in the world, via a wireless network, bluray isnt much a selling point for me, although it is a nice feature.

    u also forget that with the arcade version theres no wifi connection

    I have been contemplating getting a 360 and have been looking at the Pro system. I already have a PS3 and still think that it is the best out of the 3 (I have a Wii as well). The only problem is that the $299 will quickly become $450 after the wifi and xbox live subscription. Is it really worth it?

    iwork with the biggest tech nerd known to man...he has the 360 halo version and loves it...should i go with that...or get a real life????
