iPod & iTunes: Set the Alarm

It's only fair to warn you, the alarm beep is not so loud. So if you're a heavy sleeper, relying on it for morning reveille might not be a good idea. But for light sleepers or for other purposes it's quite functional.

  1. From the iPod menu, click Extras | Clock | Alarm Clock | Time.
  2. The Alarm Time menu will let you set the time you want your alarm to sound. Use the scroll wheel to adjust the time, and click the center button when it's correct.
  3. You will be taken back to the Alarm Clock menu.
  4. Turn the alarm on or off by clicking Alarm.
  5. Set the sound you'd like the alarm to make, either a beep that sounds with no need for headphones, or one of your playlists that will start playing through the normal sound outlet, headphones, or your stereo if it's hooked up.
