Windows XP Hardware Headaches: My device doesn't act the way I want it to.

Cause Once installed correctly, a device may or may not behave in the way that you want. Most devices have properties sheets that you can access to configure how the device behaves. To make the device do what you want, you'll need to access the correct property sheet and also check the device manufacturer's instructions.

The Pain Killer Read the documentation that came with the device and check for a solution. Then, you'll need to access any available properties for the device so you can change the behavior. Common devices, such as mice, keyboards, game controllers, modems, and printers, all have configuration icons in Control Panel.
