We could barely contain our excitement when we received the new Booklet 3G netbook from Nokia. This sleek netbook is the epitome of luxury, as mobile analyst Sascha Segan pointed out in his hands-on from CTIA last month.

The Booklet 3G has an aluminum chassis and a 10-inch edge-to-edge glass screen that offers 1280-by-720 resolution. The feature set includes an HDMI port and Bluetooth connectivity. It's impressively slim too, looking thin even compared to the 0.8-inch thick Acer Aspire One (D250-1165) . It's also light at a mere 2.76 pounds. A good chunk of the bottom of the chassis is taken up by a 57 watt-hour battery that Nokia promises will rack up at least 12 hours of battery life.

Nokia first announced plans for the Booklet 3G last month. The system will retail for $599, or $299 with a two-year AT&T 3G contract, and will be available in silver, blue, and black.

Best Buy will serve as the exclusive retailer, and the Booklet 3G will ship with Windows 7 Starter. Best Buy started taking pre-orders for the device on October 22 to coincide with the release of Windows 7, and the Booklet 3G is expected to arrive in stores by mid-November.
