Digital Cameras : Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ50-K

I have recently updated from the FZ5 to the FZ50 and what an update, like a Mini to a Rolls!

This is a Stunning Camera, with a great lens and Image Stabilizing system. The image quality to ISO400 is suberb.

The Manual Zoom Ring is a joy to use after the electronic zoom on previous camera's. Also the Function button is very useful.

Put this camera together with a fast SD Card and reap the rewards!

I would recommend this camera, especially to those who don't want the bother of a DSLR and numerous lenses - this is all you need!

10 megapixel image, super zoom facility,the hot shoe mount with TTL flash option,availability of RAW image format....What more should one seek in a Digital camera? Wonder what more can Panasonic develop and add in their next model! Hide Full Review

I love everything about it other than the inability to adjust the ISO (without the introduction of ugly digital noise). I've kept mine at 100 for the past year and do any further adjustments on the computer. I've been able to do PRINTS up to 11x16 and be happy with them, considering the imaging sensor size is so small. I have the added LENSES (Wide / Telephoto / Macro) and they work great as well, though being only screw-on lenses. Of course this camera is the closest to a DSLR that you can get. The shutter/lag time is great, though do NOT think of shooting in RAW mode because it's a 6 second wait between frames. Though for the price, it's a great piece of machinery. Hide Full Review
