Laptops : HP Mini 1000 Netbook (512MB Memory, 8GB Solid State Drive)

I love this netbook - the 8GB SSD is super fast in booting and it is nice to know the hard drive won't crash since it is solid state. I just got mine and it has been great for class and on the go. I've been playing with my HP Mini 1000 for little more than a week now, and it turns out to be the perfect companion! Just like girlfriends should be ;)
She is slim, beatiful, sexy, fast, quiet and can be with me for hours without a single complain.
I have my notebook for work, but as soon as I get at home, I immediately jump all over my Mini 1000 and carry with me throughout the house. Heck, now I love watching my TV show from the web in this device - it works better than my big, fat notebook, SERIOUSLY! Watching youtube, Fringe and Hulu was never more satisfying!

Love the glossy black look of the case. Looks great, not the toy-store case you see on many other netbooks, really thin too. The keyboard is close to full size and you can actually type on it. It even has a right shift key where you expect to find it. Nice clean Windows XP without a bunch of garbage installed. I like it! Hide Full Review

My HP Mini is great. I can slip it into the sleeve and off it goes in my purse. It's so light that I barely feel it (not like lugging around a 5-10lb notebook). Windows XP works well. I can use all basic functionality on this small, compact design (email, internet, chat, photos, watching TV online, etc). I can't wait to see the Linux version! Hide Full Review
