Laptops : Apple MacBook Air 1.6 GHz

I am a college student and bring my laptop to class everyday. I am your average computer user, I use a word processor, the internet, have a large MP3 collection (via itunes), and use iphoto for uploading photos from my digital camera and phone. For these functions the Macbook air is perfect. Although this computer isn't going to be powerful enough for serious gamers, web designers or screen writers (all who use complicated programs which require a computer with more power), for the average computer user you couldn't ask for a better machine. First of all, Mac OSX leopard is far superior and more user friendly than any other operating system. The computer is light as a feather and the LED light keyboard is a really wonderful function for dimly lit rooms. The computer runs all the basic programs quickly and with ease. The battery life is good (about 3-4 hours of usage per charge) and the computer itself is light as a feather. For a guy who has spent the last 3 and 1/2 years lugging around a computer and books on his back around a college campus, I can tell you that having the macbook air instead of a heavier bulkier computer is the one of the best buys I've ever made. Never had a Mac, and this is a secondary, internet only computer. Since I don't need a disc drive this is the perfect machine. I still find myself in awe everytime I pull it out.
Still learning the aspects of Apple but would recommend this to anyone. The sheer pleasure of holding something this compact that can do what this machine does amazes me.
