I have had my macbook pro for about 3 weeks now and I have to say that it has either met or surpased all of my expectations

Design

The design of the macbook pro is just breathtaking. I really like its simple yet elegent look, and I have to say that all the design features are not just for looks. Every detail about this Macbook Pro is carefully engineered to perform in the "real world".

Power

I have to say this laptop is FAST. All of the programs that do not require Rosseta boot up almost instantly and there are usually very few speed bumps ...ever. With all that power I am able to do something that most people said I would never be able to do on a mac... GAME. After installing windows I quickly installed all of my newest games and started to go at it. Unreal worked amazing, as did CS:S. I was able to run both at near the highest levels and still maintain a very nice framerate. Perhaps the largest complaint that I have about this laptop is its RAM. The thing only comes with 512 mb of ram which severly cripples the perfomance of such a powerful machine. After paying more then 2 grand on a machine like this it is almost a requirement to have at least 1 gig.

Screen

The screen on the macbook is just amazing. It is a extremely crisp and bright 15.4 inch wide screen display. The best feature is its amaizng resolution, 1440 X 900. With that kind of real estate you can literaly have 2 documents open at the same time and actually be productive.

Battery Life

The battery life on the Macbook pro is pretty good. I heard a lot of people complaining that it was not enough but i can get a solid 3 hours on it and i find that it is more then enough.

iSight

I have to say that I was somewhat impressed with the iSight. It is a very nice webcam and the new Photobooth software is just too fun. I dont even know how much time I spent playing aroudn with that.

MAC OS X Software

My macbook came preloaded with some amazing software. First of all let me just say this, MAC OS X Tiger blows windowz away. Its not even a competition! It is like Mike Tyson of old fighting a parapolegic (a person with no legs or arms). On top of that iLife is awesome, as is all the other software such as comic life (very fun). Hide Full Review
