Cell Phones : BlackBerry Curve

This phone is very nice for a heavy texter. The full keyboard makes texting and typing very easy for anyone. The track ball does take a bit to get used to, but once you are used to it, it is super easy. The battery life isn't terrible, but it can be drained in a day. The screen size is very nice for viewing and taking pictures on the nice 2 MP camera that also has zoom. The other features such as planners and internet are also a very nice touch to any business person or techie. I thought $200 was very reasonable for this phone. (new AT&T contract and rebate needed for that price). But after looking at the iPhone, I feel that I came out with a better phone for my money. Hide Full Review

I have had many, many phones - flips, candy bars and various smart phones since cells first came out. So I know what I like & what to look for I hope.



I was tired of feeling the need for both a PDA and a phone & did NOT like the PDA/phone version of the PDA I carried, so I decided to try the famous Blackberry which had all the features I use & more, and has been very popular.



This Curve model is slimmer and not at all hard for me to hold, & I have fairly small hands for a man. Texting is easy & the voice dialing & voice clarity on both ends I find to be better than any other phone I've had recently. Clear signal even at the very back of a big grocery store, which for many phones, is a real problem!



Nice, easy to view auto adjusting screen, depending on the light you are in is nice. Speaker phone works great and sounds great. Nice size screen for viewing anything on the web or otherwise. After I got a carry case I liked, and also an OEM desktop charger which also keeps a spare battery charged, I was set!



So far no complaints at all. I wish the Tech support was abit better, but now that I am used to the Curve, I don't need it, and it has a good warranty with both Blackberry and AT & T. My local phone store guys can help me with anything I need. No worries. I looked at the Palm Treo and 2-3 other phones. I even tried them out calling my voice mail and doing other calls to see how the sound quality was. I am very glad I picked the Curve! Hide Full Review

I've owned many, many cell phones. This is the best combination PDA, messaging and cell phone device I've used. Great size, great phone, including Wi-Fi (T-Mobile) is great bonus feature, great email and text messaging device. I don't try to open attachments or work on office files on a screen as small as a cell phone, but I have at least opened and viewed PDF attachments in email messages. As a self-professed "crackberry" user, I find the 8300 perfect for texting and emailing. Besides its economical size, it is surprisingly durable, as I have already dropped it 3 times with barely a scratch.



I only wished that the device was easier to set up, but I suppose that is the common problem shared by all the Blackberries. Hide Full Review

I love my phone. It was a father's day gift. At first I thought it was pricey, but, once I started using it for e-mail, on the fly searches, and as a phone I understood what I've heard about RIM products, they are great! Hide Full Review
