Software : Corel Paint Shop Pro X

I use PSP X daily both at work and at play. PSP is my choice for editing digital images, scanning, and printing. I take about 4,000 images per year with my Nikon D100 and the batch process feature allows to to rename large groups of files by adding the date to the file name. The lossless PSP format allows me to convert my jpegs to .psp and to imbed information in each image such as the subject matter, date and location and the images are not degraded each time they are resaved. I use PSP to scan old photos of my home town, I currently have about 2,000 historic images in my collection. PSP allows me to repair damaged images and caption them for display. I use the layering feature to add text, and also to create enhanced images. Print Layout allows me to print from wallet size for personal use to the 22" x 28" color and B&W images I display. At work I use PSP to print and touch up customer photos and to clean up raster images for conversion to vector based images. My first version of PSP was shareware and I have upgraded with each release and can honestly say PSP has everything I need in a graphics program. Hide Full Review

Have been using Paint Shop Pro since it was shareware and have all the original versions plus the versions when JASC took it over. Corel's version follows the pattern and it was very easy to acclimate to. The jury is still out as to how it stacks up against previous owners' versions. Hide Full Review
