PDAs : Handspring Visor

I\'ve had this model for a few months now and am
glad I spent the money. I haven\'t had any issues with
insufficient memory (and you can add on memory later if
needed).

I use a great and inexpensive organizer
program called Time and Chaos which supports Palm Pilots
and Visors. I just sit the Visor on the USB cradle
and push a button to transfer and sync any changes
between my PC and my Visor.

My handwritten
organizer has been overflowing and I just wasn\'t looking
forward to re-writing all that information into a larger
format organizer. I decided to forego that chore and
instantly transfer everything from my PC organizer to the
Visor.

It is a lot faster to type your
information into your PC and then sync to the Visor than to
put it in directly. Learning the special alphabet was
no big deal and you don\'t have to use it anyway as
there are pop-up keypads.

support. Has to do lists, Julian and standard calendar,
appointment calendar. You can set reminders and alarms, keep
notes, attach files. It was highly recommended as a

If you are planning to buy Visor, most probably you need it to organize yourself, with very important and essential information, and not MP3 , and Audio Video, Games, and GPS stuff other wise you should buy some $500 model.

I was about to return my Visor, and I checked palm IIIxe, which was at $169 at that time, but planned to retain Visor because of these reasons.


Visor is good, reliable, affordable, and 2MB is more then enough (really), and most of all
Its finish, outlook, and touch is more neat, and superior them IIIxe. The look and feel of IIIxe is terrible.

2) The screen is bright, and more clear then IIIxe, Palm has a pale yellow screeen, while Visor has a whitish touch, which makes Visor easier to read. You will really like the bright screen of Visor as compared to dull yellow screen of Palm.

3) And finally, if in a very rare case I need extra memory, then explandable port can give me (memory + backup Flash) at the same time.

4) I dont need to care about Plam OS upgrade, (Visor does not have a Flash Rom for Update).
The funcations and programs are more then what I need, and if I am so conscious than I should go for a $500 palm with windows version on it.
