Cell Phones : HTC Touch Diamond

This device is worse than i ever thought. In fact buying this device is one of the rare things that i regreted in life. I was fooled by the advertisemnet. here are the things that make me hate it:

1- the directory is not a user friendly at all. you cannot quickly find the name you need.
2- the user does not have the ability to sort names by categories other than personal business and some other generic names that are not easily utilized or applied. One cannot sort names under his choice of categories such as family, friends, coleagues ....etc.
3- The divice cannot be synchronized as it does not work with the Activesync 4.5 although it was loaded from the internet.
4- The desktop cannot be modified to put normally used programs which can be activated by a touch of a botton.
5- The use of the built in memory and the retreieval of information is difficult.
All in All , the $625 dollars i put for it is considered a waste. I do not recommend it for any body.

I bought the HTC Diamond one week ago, first i was facinated by the size and features of the mobile. Then i was shoked when i started using the camera , the pictures were unfocused and very blurry!!!
i tried doing everyting i can to make it normal but it seemed that the camera is faulty , definatly there was something wrong.
this really was major turn off for me, cause it is a brand new mobile and my second HTC phone .
how come this phone passed HTC quality control. I sent an email to HTC unfortunatly they didn't respond at all. I called our local distributor, they didn't even had the mobile and the guy answered is not a technical person and didn't had a specialized technician there.
As this was my HTC Diamond experience and I am thinking of buying any HTC products again EVER... Hide Full Review

Well, this phone was out 5/30/08 in Hong Kong so i've been using the HTC Touch Diamond for about a month. The battery life is kinda short so if you plan on getting this phone you should plan on getting an extra battery. This phone sells for about $5400 in Hong Kong which is about $700 without tax in the U.S. I've heard that this phone sells in stores for $900 U.S dollars! If you want to buy a phone for $900, at least get the HTC Touch Diamond Pro! The HTC Touch Diamond Pro is probably not going to come out until maybe 2009. Well all I have to say is that the HTC Touch Diamond is wayyyyy better than the new iphone thats going to come out 7/11! Overall is a great PocketPC phone if you like an all in one cell; compact, light, and "weareable" PocketPC 6.1 with 4gb internal memory storage, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, E-mail, Windows Live, 3.2 megapixel camera w/auto focus, MP3 player,it even have a fm radio and a GPS included.
I had an HTC Touch. My only complaint with that one was the processor speed...too slow, but is a nice one too. When I saw the Touch Diamond pictures and the specs I loved it and got one. For the size and with all the features it carries is an excellent and a beautiful piece of equipment.
Indeed is faster than it predecesor, the first HTC Touch but with the Qualcomm 528 Mhz processor I thought it would be a lot faster.
If you ask me what would I change to improve it, I would add at least twice as much of the RAM memory, add more battery life, and, would add the desktop base charger to the package.

This is one phone that I fell in love with the moment I saw its ad. The design is just cool. Classy finish,very sleek. The Touchflow 3D function is just great. With a built in memory of 4GB, there are lot more you can have in this phone other than just phone numbers. But I seriously feel for the current price tag on this phone it should have come with 8GB making it a straight competition with the new iphone 3G. GPS facility is another great feature on this phone.
