Pros:
Very nice bright picture
Cons:
90 day warranty on the $600. bulb

The TV was a large investment for me and I was upset to find that the bulb went out just after the 90 warranty was over.

This 50-inch, DLP-based HD set, only 7 inches deep, had very good HD and DVD pictures. For regular TV through an S-video connection, it was good, but it was fair through an antenna/cable hookup. An integrated HDTV, it can accept a CableCard to receive digital-cable programming without the need for a cable box. (It can also receive over-the-air digital TV signals, without the need for an external decoder, if the signal reception is good enough.) Sound quality was excellent, a notch higher than most of the other rear-projection sets we tested. Subscribe now for expert unbiased ratings on thousands of products
