Consumer Reports 7 out of 14 50-inch models

This TV displayed good picture quality for HD and very good picture quality for DVD and standard-definition content. HD images could have been brighter and more colorful and there was a slight greenish tint to flesh tones and some graininess. The remote control is very good and the on-screen menu is easy to navigate. This set is a monitor only with no tuner of any kind but that isn't an issue if you'll be using a cable or satellite box with the set. The remote can be hard to use in low lighting. Rear-panel labeling is not clear. Compared to other sets of this size it offers a lot for the price. Subscribe now for expert unbiased ratings on thousands of products
