Im sitting here reading the negative reviews of people who OBVIOUSLY don't own this system. First off, a short battery life? 10 hours on one charge is short? Guess PSP's 2 hour battery life is a much better option.

Secondly, the other guy said "the screen is too small." The SCREEN, meaning ONE right? Again, you obviously don't have nor have you ever SEEN this unit. It has TWO 3inch screens and what do you expect from a "PORTABLE" unit? Guess you'd like to see a nice 36 inch screen on a handheld, right?

Look, I was the first person to buy one in Georgia and I've lost a LOT of sleep because of it. The graphics and 3D capabilities are AMAZING! The touch screen is what handhelds have been missing. This unit is all around fun and I'm just waiting on more games. I have Spiderman 2, Super Mario DS, the Metroid Demo, and Madden 2005 currently.

And honestly, I feel like we're getting over. Nintendo could have easily sold these things for $250. But at $150, if you don't buy one of these, you're crazy. Hide Full Review

All I have to say is "Wow." This system is the best yet in my opinion. There is so much capability here it is almost limitless. It has more features than any system yet and is sure to out-sell the upcoming PSP by far. Hide Full Review

This system is awosome.Its just like a portable game cube. i dont no much about it execpt for that you can talk through other people that have 1. Even all the way around the world! i played it at walmart in W.Lafayette. i played it for 5 minutes then when i got home i already reserved 1. I bet you that if you played it you would love it 2. My favorite feature is that it has 2 screens and on top of that the bottom screen is TOUCH SENSITIVE. and it is also 3D.and unlike the gbasp it has a real head phone jack. and its sound effects are off the hook.You can also keep your daily needs on it like a calendar and a clock. Now i know your proably saying' But that means we would haft to keep it on all the time'
But it has a solar power back up battery. So all you need to do is put it in the sunlight for five minutes with the cover down and it has enough power already to last its clock and calendar for 48 hours. Now for you people that are saying yeah but how many times can it rcharge? Well to answer that question it has a new lithium battery that can recharge UNLIMITED TIMES until you find a game that is real hard and you slam it on the ground and break it.Now i only read 1 page out of 13 and got all of this so it can do a tons more like it has a BUILT WIRELESS connection so you can play multi player with no phyiscal activiy. Okay, basically, the DS is the coolest handheld ever! Has many features, fun games, and innovative features (wait, I said that already, haven't I?)!

Here's the features:

o Two Screens. Comes with Stylus (because lower screen is touch-screen!)

o It folds (think GBA SP)

o Stereo sound (the gameboy advances looked like the had mono sound).

o Wireless abilities. Most games support 4 to 8 players, but some may be able to support up to 16.

NOTE: Some other reviewer said you could use Pictochat to communicate with people around the world; that's wrong. It uses Wi-Fi technology to communicate up to 65 feet (which is pretty good).

o 3d Graphics. As good (or better) as the N64's 3d graphics, which is good! As good as several of the other newer handhelds have graphics just this good (PSP, NGage).

o Re-Charge-able battery.

o It comes with a free demo of "Metroid Prime: Hunters"! Great FPS game, with 3 singleplayer levels and 3 multiplayer levels! (NOTE: I think it only comes with this for a limited time...)

o Plays any existing GameBoy, GameBoy Color, GameBoy Advance, game! (And of course its own games!) Hide Full Review

first let me state who ever said "if you liek violent first person shooter games get a psp" is an idiot, he must not have heard about goldeneye rogue agent and metroid prime hunters,w chih i may state goes online for free. second this system is great in all aspects. i have been gaming sicne i was three so i think i know what im talking about also considering i maek video games. The two screens is a fresh look on the horizion of new ways of playing games. the wirelss makes for multiplayer mayhem, the touch screen makes for intuitive controls, stereo sound, and cutting edge graphix for a handheld. in my opinion the nintendso ds cant be beat and i have played the psp and have one, so again i know what im talking about Hide Full Review
