Cell Phones : Palm Centro

I had it while trying Sprint and have no complaints really. The memory card slot requires you to remove the battery cover, which was no big deal. I am staying with Verizon, but hope they get this phone or will buy one and use it on their network. If you like Treo's with Palm OS and don't like the large size and boring looks, this is the phone for you. Fits great in a suite jacket pocket. Hide Full Review

well if you're anything like me you've had dozens of cell phones since they hit the public market,and I always like to pretty much keep up with the latest and the greatest ones out there.I've only had this one about a weeek now but so far as I can tell it's about the best one I've ever owned,it looks good, performs good,there's tons of different things to do with it as far as alternate entertainment,it even has internet radio.So far the only problem I'm haviing with it is the small key size.My last phone was the cingular 8525 and it was a good phone but it doesn't have nothing on this one.If you ask me this oneis far superior.Not to mention sprint gave my insurance on it where as AT&T doesn't insure they're pda's.But if you like messing around on the web this is the phone for you. I have owned a Palm Centro since they were rolled out last October. I have enjoyed every minute of it. I love having a palm device combined with a phone. It makes life so much easier.

It's just the right size for a smart phone, and the screen is huge compared to like models. The only thing I haven't been too happy with is that when you drop it if it doesn't have a cover, it will get scratched or dinged up. Otherwise, it's a great phone. Hide Full Review

Had this for a month.

I normally feel skeptical about phone with this layout (qwerty under the screen), thinking they'll be wide. But with sacrifice of the key size, the Centro still fits in my hand.
The small button itself is not much trouble, I can type quite accurately except when carried away and starts ignoring the keyboard.

The only problem I find when typing is the creaking sound from the back cover. Maybe just my unit because I had a second hand unit.

My biggest complain is actually the OS, because I had used various phone OS before. I prefer Palm OS itself compared to the other I've tried (Symbian and WinMo), but I really missed a lot of 3rd party from Windows Mobile, especially Windows Live and Mesh.
Because Palm OS' last days are counted already, I doubt there'll be a lot of bigger apps coming. Had to hang on to the old apps, on which some is not even available anymore. Hide Full Review
