Home Video : Panasonic DMP-BD10

The Panasonic DMP-DB10 has to be one of the most beautiful Bluray disc players out there. the front is sleek with no visible buttons.



I bought it because it came with five free Bluray discs and another 5 free ones on a promo. That's 10 brand new Bluray discs. So at discs at around $30 a piece this player was a bargain compared to the other models from other companies.



Set up is pretty simple. Just follow the onscreen menus and chose your output resolution. I tend to turn off additional processing the player has.



The remote is unfortunately not backlighted and comes with a rotary shuttle control is not entirely my favorite.



Using the HDMI cable I connecetd it to my Pioneer Elite receiver and took it to it's paces. I used the uncompressed audio on the Fifth Element and it was fantastic. It almost feels like you're watching the movie for the first time again.



The picture quality was excellent. You can see all the detail in the costumes and the set.



Just when you thought DVD was great Bluray tramps it.



I would highly recommend this player to anyone interested in getting a HiDEF DVD player.



It may have a few quirks like no eject button on the remote but the picture and sound are both worth the money. Hide Full Review
