I figured it was a waste of money to keep buying regular dvds since everything is converting over to blue ray. So i anted up 500 bucks and bought this baby. Wise investment. Forget regular dvds. Blue ray discs look amazing on this player. You can see at least a 30 percent or more increase in picture quality.The fantastic 4 disc looks incredible. I only have a 720 sony tv and you can still see a big difference. The picture will even get better when you get a 1080p set. Reular discs look fine also. The only quirp. Be careful not to put the player in the 1080p mode if you only have a 720 set. If you do, you will have to re-hook the player and connect it through the composite mode. In addition, you will have to call panasonic to have them re-program the unit. Hide Full Review
