- A top performer among 50-inch sets. This set is expensive but if you're a videophile and cost is no object it's worth checking out. This set had excellent HD and DVD picture quality and was very good for standard-definition though black areas of the image looked a little too bright. It has many features including the most extensive image-adjustment controls we've seen on a plasma TV and an Ethernet jack that enables the set to receive images from a wired home network. The remote control is excellent and is easy to use in low lighting. The rear jacks' labels are very easy to read. Long (24-month) part warranty and labor warranty. However it was hard to access the side-inputs and side-buttons when the speakers (included) are installed. There's no menu button on the console so if you lose the remote you can't adjust the TV's settings. Remote has two buttons - "Home Menu" and "Menu" - which can be confusing; only the first activates the TV menu. Subscribe now for expert unbiased ratings on thousands of products
